Technology park enters new phase

16.11.11

The first phase of a £9 million scheme helping to develop Bromsgrove Technology Park has now been completed.

One of the first speculative developments completed locally since the economic downturn, Sapphire Court, totalling 35,550 square feet, features 13 units including ones suitable for general industrial storage and distribution.

Roads have been laid around the six acre site, off the A38 Aston Fields, in preperation for the next stages. When completed the overall scheme will offer 98,000 sq ft of flexible industrial units. PxP West Midlands, a private-public partnership between develop Langtree and the Home and Communities Agency, has constructed the new unit and will be carrying out the next phases.

Mark Stapleton, managing director at PxP West Midlands, said: "We are delighted that construction has been successfully completed at Sapphire Court.

"Bromsgrove Technology Park is distinguished by its prime location and specialist business community set within an attractive environment. As such, we were confident from the outset that there were sufficient levels of interest for us to deliver this scheme speculatively and were delighted Bromsgrove District Council supported our ambitions."

PxP West Midlands also has outline planning consent for design and build opportunities for up to 40,500 sq ft at the site. New units at Sapphire Court have gone up for lease and sale. Interested parties should call 0845 054 0466 or commercial property agent Thomas Lister on 01527 871604.
